── About Me
Hello! My name is Vanessa and I am an infant child Sleep Consultant.
As with many Sleep Consultant’s, my story did not begin there. Before I was a consultant and before I was a mom, I was a licensed Occupational Therapist who worked with pediatric and geriatric patients in a variety of settings. I obtained my bachelors and masters degree at San Jose State University, then set off to do what I loved most in the world, help people. I worked as an occupational therapist for many years until I met the most wonderful man (my husband), who forever changed my life from therapist, to wife and mother. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and raise my two beautiful daughters.
Motherhood has brought me many joys, but it hasn’t been without its difficulties. One of those being the sleep journey of my oldest daughter.
From the very beginning she was not the best of sleepers. We struggled for months putting her down for naps and bedtime, and we’re never able to get her to sleep for more than a few hours at a time. Finally at nine months, we broke, and I looked into finding help. I had never heard of an infant child Sleep Consultant before, but prayed they would have the answers we needed to help our daughter sleep. Our prayers were answered when we found Erin, our sleep consultant, and the woman who would forever change our lives. Working with her opened up our eyes to a whole new world of sleep that we never knew existed. Suddenly, it all made sense why our daughter was not sleeping well and what we could do to fix the problem. I knew then that I had found a new career path that would allow me to do what I love, while also being the best mom I could be.
As a parent, I know that my story is like many families’ stories. Sleepless nights, unsure what to do or who to turn to, hoping that help is out there.
As a Sleep Consultant it is my goal to help families in the same way that I was helped. Let’s change your children’s sleeping nightmares into a dream come true.
