After 8+ years of experience working with newborns and children as a nanny and Postpartum Doula, I realized just how important and powerful sleep is to the health of little ones and their parents. I became fascinated with the science behind sleep, the differences in baby sleep vs. adult sleep, and how to implement gentle tactics that encourage lasting healthy sleep habits without having to resort to the dreaded cry-it-out method. All babies are born with an inherent ability and need to sleep. Their little brains, nervous systems, immune systems, and everything in between crave and need healthy sleep to properly develop. So then why does it seem like so many kiddos are constantly fighting it? That’s where I come in.
