- Something I could do while never missing my daughter’s milestones

I have found that most new parents looking for an income are interested in at least the first three. Most want interaction as well — being a new mom is wonderful, but it can be lonely at times. Everyone needs “grownup” interaction!

I admit I never tried this. I jumped straight from being an RN to #1 below. But I do know other moms who go on freelance marketplaces to get work, so I’m giving it a mention here.
It does miss the interaction factor, at least to an extent. Yes, you’ll be communicating with clients, but it will be very “surface” communication. But if you are looking for a side hustle that won’t involve a lot of talk, a freelance platform could be just the thing for you.
You need to bring a skill to the table when you use these platforms. They include Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, and similar marketplaces. You list your skills, approach jobs (usually for a small fee), and if the client likes what they see, you get that job. Be aware that you will be relying on client feedback, which you usually can’t remove except under specific circumstances. But the plus side is that you can build your reputation until you’re earning more, and you can do it all from home!

Platforms like Etsy allow you to showcase the crafty skills you have. Do you sew? Refurbish antiques? Put together delicious concoctions for the hair or skin? Then crafting may be for you!
