If you know anything about me, I LOVE to brag about the incredible students who have come through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting. So, here are real testimonials from real people, all about being a baby sleep consultant.
I know exactly how much my life changed when I switched from being an RN to a baby sleep consultant, and it gives me such a hit of dopamine to know that I have helped others feel that same satisfaction.
There are SO MANY benefits to becoming a Baby Sleep Consultant:
- Being your OWN boss.
- Setting your work hours.
- Having time (real, quality time) to spend with family and friends.
- Getting the satisfaction that comes with bettering the lives of your clients.
- And, of course, the stable and abundant income that comes from sharing scientifically proven methods.
The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting (IPSP) has helped hundreds of women become sleep consultants – and through them, helped tens of thousands of families navigate the tear-filled waters of infant and child sleep.
The heart of our mission is the training and certification of compassionate, knowledgeable sleep consultants ready to make a significant difference in the lives of families worldwide!
I’d love to share the real success stories from our graduates, individuals who took that (very intimidating) leap into this field.
But first… How I Became a Baby Sleep Consultant
I was an RN for years before becoming a pediatric sleep consultant. And I loved my job. I was satisfied and content with a career dedicated to helping people in need. But, when I had my little ones, I realized just how much time I was spending at work.
I found myself shuffling my schedule around to accommodate shifts at the hospital, newborn naps, and frequent feedings (SPOILER: It’s impossible!).
When I was at the hospital, I wanted to be home with my children. But when I was at home, I felt like I was giving up on my career as a nurse.
It felt like I had to choose between the two most fulfilling “jobs” I’d ever had.
But then I found the third option – one where I could have time with my little ones while growing a successful and fulfilling career.
Becoming a full time baby sleep consultant changed my life for the better, and allowed me to shape my life into exactly what I wanted. I didn’t have to change my schedule or cater to anyone else. I became my own boss. And, I started this incredible Institute dedicated to helping others just like me change their lives.
Okay, enough about me. I want to show you just how amazing this career change can be – so hear it from my students!
Below, I’ll share some of the real success stories from our graduates, individuals who took that leap, transforming their passion for child well-being into a profession, and are now leading experts in the field of pediatric sleep consulting.
For many of the students at IPSP, choosing the right program was about more than just acquiring a certificate – it was the first step to a life-changing shift.
Being a Baby Sleep Consultant: From the Classroom to Real Life
The comprehensive nature of our program is designed not only to educate but to inspire confidence and readiness to tackle real-world challenges.
It’s not all theory and textbooks – our students learn how to actually take what they learn and bring it to the real world. The IPSP curriculum covers engaging course material, practical case studies, and an emphasis on current and up-to-date research, equipping students with their essential toolkit.
Starting a New Chapter is SCARY… but worth it.
Graduating from the IPSP program is the start of an exciting new chapter for our students. Many express excitement about the opportunity to begin their careers in sleep consulting, armed with knowledge and supported by a community of peers and mentors.
Confidence through Practice (and Community!)
A common thread among our graduates is the confidence they gain through the program.
This confidence doesn’t just stem from mastering the content but also from the practical experience and support network the IPSP offers.
Our courses teach the practical and need-to-know reality of being a baby sleep consultant. Because it isn’t all counting sheep and restful nights. We give our students a backbone of the community where they can ask their questions, get support, and share their experiences.
It’s not a one-and-done experience at IPSP – you get ongoing support and access to the course material. Graduates become part of a vibrant, supportive community that continues to offer advice, share experiences, and provide mentorship long after the coursework has ended.
Completing the IPSP certification is just the beginning.
